Is the league not-for-profit?
Yes. All league fees go towards the costs of the league. In addition, Annually, the league sponsors youth programs for children of New York City through the City of New York/Parks & Recreation. We are beginning our twelfth year of sponsoring the youth programs. Last summer, we worked closely with Parks & Recreation and raised $10,000 to support New York City’s youth.

When and where are the games played?
Games are played on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s at 5:30pm and 7:00pm. All our games are played on the Great Lawn in Central Park.

How many games does each team play?
There are 15 teams. Each team plays every other team once during the regular season. Top eight teams make the playoffs.

Is the league co-ed?
Women are allowed on teams. In practice, the teams are all male. Occasionally, a team will use a female pitcher; usually with windmill experience.

What is the cost per team?
The league fee is $2,200 per team. The league fee covers field permits, two umpires per game, two softballs per game, and two cones per team (to mark the LF and RF lines in the outfield).
